When pricing Florianopolis accommodations, keep in mind that Brazil Hotels don't offer the same comforts and conveniences that my private vacation home can offer you. Most Brazil Hotels are expensive, poorly maintained, in poor locations, and don't offer internet, a US phone line, washer & dryer, kitchen, air conditioning, nor private Jacuzzi. For about the same price as a Florianopolis hotel, you can have all the comforts and luxuries of an American home in the best location in Florianopolis, Praia Mole beach. New Years and Carnaval are extremely popular in Brazil. Therefore,
prices are higher due to high demand & limited availability

Add 3% for payment by credit card. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express accepted.
Deposit Required to Reserve Unit:
50% down with balance due 45 days prior to arrival in high season or 30 days prior in low season.
Security Deposit:
$300 due 45 days prior to arrival, refundable within 14 days of
checkout.
Cleaning Fee:
$75 one-time on stays of 7 nights or less. Additional interim
housekeeping services required for stays of 8 nights or more,
additional fee applies. If you would like additional interim cleanings,
please request in advanc. Additional fee applies for each cleaning.

Florianopolis Car Rental:
For your convenience, I can
arrange a car rental from an English-speaking company at the lowest
rates in Floripa. Your rental car can be delivered to you at the
airport or at the house.
For an additional US$25 or so, the car rental company will even
drive you to the house from the airport for a very convenient
& hassle-free arrival. If interested, send me your dates and
I will have them send you a quote for each class of car they have
available.
Airport Pickup:
Airport pickup may be available for an additional US$50. Request availability.
Private VIP Nightlife Guide or
Daytime Tour Guide:
A personal bilingual tour guide and designated driver can be provided
for an additional fee. My nightlife guides are well connected
with all the best nightclubs and can get you immediately dialed
in like a local.
Deep Sea Sport Fishing:
There is great Mahi Mahi fishing during the summer and massive Grouper can be caught year-round, among other types of fish, such as Linguado and Anchova. Rates vary based on season and number of people in your party. The boat departs just a few minutes away from Praia Mole beach.
White Water River Rafting:
There
are 2 types of river rafting trips located in the local mountains
on the continent just outside Florianopolis. One is an easy 2-hour
trip (class 2-3) and the other is a 4-hour trip (class 4-5). Both
are just a 1-hour drive from the house. The largest drop on the
class 2-3 can be seen on my photos
page. My wife broke her nose on the class 3-5 trip so it's not
for the faint hearted. There are some pretty gnarly rapids when
the water level is high and they also make you scale some vertical
20-foot cliffs with a rope (stuff that would scream LAWSUIT in
the US). I personally enjoyed the class 4-5 trip but for those
seeking a leisurly rafting trip, stick to the class 2-3. The costs
vary from R75 - R100 per person, depending on the season and size
of your group. Some rafting guides speak English but I recommend
hiring one of my tour guides for this trip so you don't get lost
on the drive.
